 Having specialized in supplying cellar door sets for over 30 years along with SELF OPENING cellar doors and trap doors for 20 years we have a wealth of experience in all types of applications.  
 

EXTERNAL CELLAR TRAP DOOR 
 Our external “Easy Flaps” are our draymens favourite
 and transform any beer or product cellar drop into an
 enjoyable and safe external cellar access point and
double as a SELF OPENING FIRE ESCAPE door. Galvanised
 finish and weather resistant seals together with stainless
 steel furniture remove the need for expensive regular
maintenance. Available as a standard size out of our
range or bespoke sizes to fit your application.  
 


INTERNAL CELLAR TRAP DOOR   
 Our internal cellar trap doors come in a variety of application forms.
 As pairs they can service a beer cellar or restaurant goods intake whilst as a single or ‘L’ shaped pair, they can provide effortless and stylish complements for your wine cellar or feature storage area. Each of these is built specifically to your dimensions and particular applications.   
 
 We also manufacture a 60 MINUTE FIRE RESISTANT single which is tested and approved to B.S 476 part 22 1987 ( British Standard).  
 
 Internal tray type cellar trap doors are recessed to take a variety of floor finishes such as tiles, carpet, timber and altro and minimize the visual impact of the door and opening.  
   
 Clear view™ GLASS DOOR set over showpiece cellars are
becoming very popular. We have responded to this
demand using a more scratch resistant medium than glass,
 which is just as transparent and clear but lighter in
weight than glass. The acrylic sheet panels that we use
to do this are thicker and stronger to support more foot
traffic too.   
 
 Our self opening automatic cellar trap doors have
traditionally been powered by gas struts. Today the
introduction of electric actuators, either hard wired or
with a wireless remote control handset are the must have
accessory with any luxury cellar trap door and particularly with a see through GLASS DOOR wine cellar.  


 
SAFETY
 Prevention of personal injuries and HEALTH AND SAFETY has always been a priority with our cellar door and trap door designs.   
 
 Having removed the cause of back injury with automatic opening cellar doors we have now introduced a personnel opening access door to prevent falls with out guards. Many premises, particularly public houses, shops and restaurants have personnel access tarp doors in which are potentially dangerous places. When the trap door is open, there is a danger that other individuals could fall into the opening. Claims for damages related to such falls have incurred frighteningly large settlements that have run in to the millions.   
   
 Rather than the impractical solution of having to erect
barriers around the opening and then store them, we offer
a SAFETY GRILLE DOOR, which AUTOMATICALLY SAFEGUARDS
the opening whilst the trap door is open.  
 
 A coordinated floor finish self opening top door with a
secondary, gently closing hinged grille below automatically
provides TOTAL SAFETY for all whilst the trap door is left
open. Each of these is custom made to your requirements
and needs.  
 



STEEL STEPS & LADDERS
 Our steel steps & ladders for personnel access to any
cellar or basement of any kind are available with
or without handrails.   
 
 Skids & chutes for product loading into commercial
based cellar or basements are available. Both Fixed
and fold away types can be custom made to suit your
application.  



 
WHAT TO DO?   
 We offer a survey, design and manufacture service together with delivery only or a delivery and fit option.   
 
 To obtain initial quotations please contact us with your requirements along with a picture or two of the cellar or basement, one with the doors open and one with them closed. If this is not possible in the case of a new build please attach a drawing(s) instead of a picture(s).
